Since the 1950’s the Cugnata family is cultivating Organic olives in the Ragusa province, when Vito Cugnata started the farm Villa Ponte in Chiaramonte Gulfi they have dedicated their lives to this amazing mediterranean tree focussing just to achieve excellence. These days the farm is run by Silvana and Giovanni Cugnata, they have a stunning amount of olive trees, 2500 to be exact and the amazing olive oil that they produce oil from a single variety called Tonda Iblea which is also part of the Italian agricultural heritage.

The flavourful and intensely green extra virgin olive oil cold pressed in the Villa Ponte it falls under the Siculum DOP extra virgin olive oils, which is a protected food product in Europe due to its excellent qualities. This oil is excellent used raw, and it will please even the most demanding gourmet. Since the PDO labelling the product has received international recognition and won several prizes.
