Parmesan is a PDO cheese from the Emilia Romagna region in northern Italy, Specifically mostly produced only in Parma, Reggio Emilia and Modena. This wheel is produced by an organic farm where cows have access to fresh mountain pastures. The unique taste is sharp, but at the same time nutty and pleasant. Due to its long ageing there are many crunchy amino acids crystals in this cheese to add more texture. Produced with cow milk, calf rennet and salt only. No additives are used to produce Parmigiano Reggiano.
